Explore tactile maps to build urban imagination, and listen to local residents recount childhood anecdotes from street corners. City tours can indeed be a gentle multi-sensory feast, allowing everyone, regardless of differing abilities and limitations, to savor the community's human touch and vibrancy.
Kowloon Tsai Route Introduction:
Beyond Vision International and local residents lead the way, redesigning community guided tours with multi-sensory experiences and tactile maps, presenting this inclusive, unique, and heartfelt community experience to everyone - including visually impaired individuals.
Under the guidance of visually impaired tour guides, let's slow down our pace, wander through familiar streets, use our sense of touch, hearing, and smell to explore stories waiting to be discovered, diligently and curiously exploring our city as if visiting a museum.
By walking through the housing estates of Shek Kip Mei, discover and understand the stories of the area and its small shops, explore the unique charm of Kowloon Tsai, and experience the human touch and living culture of the estates.
