Kongcept x Kaifong Tour: Choi Hung Estate Conceptual Walking Tour
Description
"Kongcept x Kaifong Tour: Choi Hung Estate Conceptual Walking Tour"
Choi Hung Estate was built between 1962 and 1964. The name "Choi Hung" (Rainbow) carries the memory of the original site, Ngau Chi Wan Choi Hung Village. As a relatively "upscale" "low-rent housing estate," Choi Hung Estate's planning and architectural design truly served as a model for contemporary long-block buildings, as evidenced by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Silver Medal Award. After 60 years of transformation, it is fortunate to still host a large number of old shops — Kam Pik Restaurant, Lee Ying Kee Watch Shop, Kar Nam Store, Oi Kwan Fast Food, and so on; it also happened to coincide with the visual era of photo check-ins, turning this modernist building into a must-visit hotspot for Hong Kongers and tourists alike. Perhaps you've been to Choi Hung Estate to check in, but besides the photo spots, have you noticed other corners within Choi Hung Estate?
"Kongcept" with "Kaifong Tour" co-organize the "Choi Hung Estate Leisure Walk Concept Tour" innovatively leading everyone to experience Choi Hung Estate's architecture, life, and daily routines from multiple perspectives, and to discover the value of Choi Hung Estate. The conceptual tour includes a "Housing Estate Treasure Hunt" segment, utilizing the "Kongceptour" application developed by Kongcept, allowing you to find Choi Hung Estate's Hidden Gems at your own pace! At the same time, "Kaifong Tour" has also invited a resident who has lived in Choi Hung Estate for 62 years to journey with everyone, allowing everyone to experience the daily life of Choi Hung Estate from a resident's perspective.
Co-organizers: Kongcept, Kaifong Tour
