  • If the Observatory issues or still has a severe weather warning hanging 4 hours before the start of this event, such as red rainstorm, black rainstorm warning, or typhoon signal No. 3 or above, this event will be cancelled. For events cancelled due to typhoon or other severe weather, no further notice will be given.
  • Participants please ensure that the provided data is true and accurate.
  • Please take good care of personal belongings. In case of any loss or damage, participants shall bear the responsibility themselves.
  • The activity is covered by public liability insurance. Participants must fully arrange and pay for their own insurance for applicable coverage, such as life, health, or other forms of protection.

Explore Island South

This event will explore attractions related to the lives of fishermen in the Southern District, through explanations and immersive experiences, deeply uncovering the rich culture and heritage of the Southern District fishing villages, and rediscovering the stories at sea in the Southern District and the vibrant side of Aberdeen.

Event Highlights:

  • Fishermen's Cultural Experience: Explore distinctive attractions in the Southern District area, discover interesting stories, and understand the fishermen's culture in the Southern District.

  • Tai Pak Boat Experience: The event specially arranges boarding the viewing fish boat on the iconic Hong Kong Tai Pak Seafood Boat, savoring the old fishing port atmosphere.

Registration Notes:

  • Each registration can include at most 2 participants. Registrations with more than 2 participants will be considered invalid.
  • All event spots are limited, first come first served, full then stop.
  • After completing the registration information, you need to wait for confirmation from Kaifong Tour, which is generally completed within five working days. If confirmed successful, you will receive a confirmation email.
  • Participants please arrive at the assembly point 15 minutes before the event starts (i.e., assembly time) for check-in. Those who do not arrive on time will forfeit their spot. 
  • It is recommended that participants wear comfortable clothes and sports shoes.
  • Part of the itinerary is on the boat; participants please pay attention to their physical condition, such as if prone to seasickness, prepare in advance (refer to relevant medication guidelines if needed).
  • Wheelchairs and strollers cannot be used during the itinerary. If there are special needs, please inform during registration.
  • It is recommended to bring 3.5mm wired earphones to connect to the audio guide.(If not, we will provide them on the event day.)
  • Participants understand and agree that there may be photography and/or video recording during the event without prior consent, and the related photos and/or videos will be used for reporting, promotion, or other purposes deemed appropriate by THE SOUTHSIDE and Ngodei Community Tourism Platform.
