Overview
Next Stop: "Tuen-Tin-Yuen" | A Light Rail Journey from Lam Tei to Yuen Long
"Tuen-Tin-Yuen" is a local geographical term referring to three adjacent districts in Northwest New Territories: Tuen Mun, Tin Shui Wai, and Yuen Long. Closely connected by geography, community issues, and transportation, these areas share a unique identity. This guided tour takes you aboard the iconic Light Rail—the region’s primary lifeline—traveling from Lam Tei, a quiet neighborhood rich in local rural character, to the bustling hub of Yuen Long, where modern new town developments coexist with traditional village culture. Along the way, discover the evolving history of these communities and dive into fun trivia about the Light Rail system. Why are there no ticket gates on the open platforms? What do zones 5, 6, and 7 mean?
Hop on board with a local "Tuen Mun Cow" for a relaxing, light-hearted community trip!
